There are three application paths to choose from for Professional Certified Coach. Review the requirements below to determine which path best fits your training and lifestyle.
Coaching is a process that can be offered in different situations and different environments based on the needs of the individual.
The term coaching typically refers to methods of helping others to improve, develop, learn new skills, find personal success, and achieve aims and to manage life change and personal challenges. Coaching commonly addresses attitudes, behaviors, skills and knowledge, as well as career goals and aspirations, and can also focus on physical and spiritual development too.
PCC (ACTP) Path
Requirements:
Completion of an entire ASMC Accredited Coach Training Program (ACTP).
A minimum of 500 hours (450 paid) of coaching experience with at least 25 clients following the start of your coach-specific training. At least 50 of these hours must occur within the 18 months prior to submitting the application for the credential.
Completion of the Coach Knowledge Assessment (CKA).
PCC(ACSTH Path)
Requirements:
At least 125 hours of coach-specific training through an ACTP or ACSTH program.
10 hours of Mentor Coaching to be documented on your online application. Your Mentor Coach must be a PCC or MCC in good standing.
A minimum of 500 hours (450 paid) of coaching experience . At least 50 of these hours must occur within the 18 months prior to submitting the application for the credential.
Performance evaluation (two audio recordings and written transcripts of coaching sessions to be uploaded with your application).
Completion of the Coach Knowledge Assessment (CKA).
PCC Portfolio Path
Requirements:
At least 125 hours of coach-specific training with robust documentation. You will be required to demonstrate that you have completed a comprehensive training program that includes the ASMC definition of coaching, Code of Ethics and Core competencies and is organized in a scope and sequence that encourages your growth as a coach.
10 hours of Mentor Coaching . Your Mentor Coach must be a PCC or MCC in good standing. A minimum of 500 hours of coaching experience.
Performance evaluation (two audio recordings and written transcripts of coaching sessions. Completion of the Coach Knowledge Assessment (CKA).
